Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is seeking a Leisure Club Manager to lead and grow a thriving Health & Leisure operation onsite. You will manage a high-performing team, drive member engagement, and ensure exceptional guest experiences across safety and service standards.

The role focuses on delivering safe, profitable leisure services, designing member programmes, and aligning with hotel leadership to meet business targets. Recruitment support and apprenticeship opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Leisure Club Manager or senior leisure leadership role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and inspire a team.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, KPIs and revenue streams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a high-quality, engaging Health & Leisure Club experience for members and guests.
• Manage and develop the leisure team, including Supervisors and Leisure Assistants, to deliver service excellence.
• Design and deliver member programmes, including inductions and group exercise, to drive engagement and retention.
• Ensure the club is clean, safe and presented to the highest standards at all times.
• Maintain full compliance with all health, safety, hygiene and operational standards.
• Take ownership of leisure KPIs including membership growth, revenue, retention and profitability.
• Drive local marketing initiatives and implement commercial strategies to grow membership and secondary revenue streams.
• Manage budgets, stock control and financial performance to achieve targets.
• Oversee reporting, audits and operational processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Work collaboratively with hotel leadership and central teams to align leisure operations with wider business goals.
• Career development through fully funded apprenticeships and our internal development programme.

This role is all about leading a thriving leisure operation that delivers exceptional experiences, strong commercial results and a high-performing team. You'll lead from the front, creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for members and guests, while driving performance across service, safety and commercial targets. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall success of the leisure club, leading your team to deliver consistently high standards and achieve key business objectives. We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Proven experience in a Leisure Club Manager or senior leisure leadership role.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach, develop and inspire a team.
• A solid understanding of health, safety and compliance within a leisure environment.
• Commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets, KPIs and revenue streams.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to make confident decisions and lead in a fast-paced environment.
• A recognised Pool Responder qualification and First Aid certification.
• A relevant fitness or leisure qualification (Level 2 or above).
• A proactive, positive approach and a passion for continuous improvement.
