Job summary

Freedom Leisure seeks a General Manager for Applemore Leisure Centre in New Forest. You will drive business performance, lead a team and deliver a safe, welcoming, high-standard leisure experience for the local community.

You will manage budgets, grow membership and ensure adherence to company policies while reporting to the Area Manager. The role requires 37 hours weekly with a comprehensive benefits package and an emphasis on community engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading leisure facility operations.
• Ability to manage budgets and drive income.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement.
• At least 3 years’ experience in leisure facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow membership, activity and attendance at the site.
• Manage the centre’s income and expenditure.
• Be the lead contact at site and report to the Area Manager.
• Ensure Freedom Leisure Policies, Procedures and Processes are fully adhered to.
• Produce reports on KPI’s and site operations.
• Audit site processes and maintain high standards.
