Job summary

North East Derbyshire District Council is looking for a Leisure Attendant (Lifeguard) to join our busy, friendly leisure centre. You’ll help keep swimmers safe, assist in the gym and changing areas, and set up equipment for classes and events.

You’ll also promote activities and welcome customers of all ages across our four sites. The role requires a confident team player who is physically fit and able to lift and move equipment.

Qualifications

• Confident, team player who loves helping people.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move equipment.
• Good understanding of sports and fitness.
• Enhanced DBS Check required.

Skills and qualifications:

• A confident, team player who loves helping people
• Someone who's physically fit and ready to lift and move equipment
• A good understanding of sports and fitness
• RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (10th Edition) - essential!
• This role requires an Enhanced DBS Check - we'll help you through the process.

Bonus points if you have:

• Sports coaching experience or qualifications
• A passion for teaching or leading activities
• A flexible and professional approach is considered essential as the postholder will be required to undertake keyholder duties as and when needed to meet service demands.
