Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust operates a state-of-the-art leisure facility in Oundle. The Leisure Assistant will lifeguard the 50-metre pool, assist with equipment setup, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety. You will engage guests with friendly service and help plan activities to enrich members’ experiences.

Excellent customer service, teamwork, and meticulous attention to detail are required, with ongoing training provided to support growth within the Centre.

The Role

As a Leisure Assistant, your key responsibilities will include lifeguarding to ensure the safety of all pool users, setting up and maintaining sports equipment, and ensuring all facilities are clean and ready for use. You will also interact with guests, providing outstanding customer service, and preparing activities to create memorable experiences for our members.

Safety is our top priority, so this role requires exceptional attention to detail in addition to strong customer service skills and the ability to work as part of a team are crucial.

While a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is essential for this position, we will continue to provide continuous training and support to help you excel in your role. Additionally, we offer a friendly and supportive work environment, along with opportunities for career development.

The School And The Centre

Oundle and Laxton Junior Schools have long been associated with the very best of modern independent education, especially boarding. Our facilities include a 50-metre swimming pool, an 8-court hall, a 70-station fitness suite, a dedicated dance studio and three further multipurpose studios.
