Job description

Leisure Apprentice

At Lord Butler Leisure Centre, we promote a healthy lifestyle. As our Apprentice Lifeguard, you will learn to ensure the safety of swimmers. When not on poolside, you will assist with safety checks, customer needs, and maintaining a safe environment.

This is a full-time position requiring flexibility for shifts including evenings and weekends.

You will be a role model to swimmers and have the opportunity to develop skills in sales, customer service, communication, confidence, and lifesaving.

The apprenticeship includes gaining RLSS NPLQ, Level 3 First Aid, Level 2 Fitness or Gym Instruction, and Level 2 Swim Teacher qualifications, with potential earnings of up to £15 per hour.

You will undergo a mix of on and off-the-job training, shadowing lifeguards, completing modules, and working with a tutor.

Applicants should demonstrate good time management and initiative.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, responsible, and hardworking, assisting with swimming sessions, health and safety, cleanliness, and daily operations.
