Before we go into the role, below is a breakdown of your potential earnings if you joined SMS Environmental where you'll be delivering UKAS Risk Assessments.

Base salary of up to £35,000

Bonus of up to £6,000 (£500 monthly)

Overtime at 30% of project value

Total on target earnings - £41,000 PLUS Overtime

Legionella Risk Assessors needed for roles with SMS Environmental - Throughout the UK

With 24 years of leading industry experience, SMS Environmental, a leading water treatment and air quality management company specialising in Legionella control, ranks within the top 5% of water treatment providers within the UK.

Due to exciting company growth, we are now looking a Legionella Risk Assessor to join our growing team across You will help to deliver water system surveys and risk assessments to a variety of community based customers, working across a wide range of building types including individual residences and small offices to large schools, commercial, care homes and healthcare facilities. These roles are field-based and regular travel will be a core part of our role.

In return, we offer we offer a competitive base salary up to £35,000 per annum, 37.5 hour working week (Monday - Friday), paid over time based at 27.5% of project value, company vehicle, fuel card, 30 days paid annual leave (inc UK bank holidays) and multiple opportunities to progress within the team or throughout our wider business.

Your Legionella Risk Assessor role:

  • Ensuring customer and business compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274 part 2, BS 8580-1 and other relevant industry standards and guidance
  • Promoting and supporting Health & Safety regulatory standards and practice at site and in our service delivery
  • Problem solving /diagnosing faults within Plumbing Systems and making recommendations for maintenance and remedial work where appropriate
  • Co-ordinating with the internal SMS Quality Control/Assurance team to ensure delivery of related documentation to regulatory standards

Requirements

Essential:

  • Career history within the Water Hygiene Industry and/or conducting Risk Assessments
  • Built key client relationships to identify types and levels of Legionella
  • Effectively communicated details of Legionella and providing client focused solutions
  • Monitoring risks and competent knowledge of UK Health & Safety regulatory legislation and practice
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to use technology (tablet and smart phone)

Desirable:

  • Approved Legionella Risk Assessor Qualification (eg: City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc; certification can be arranged for an experienced candidate

All roles at SMS require a DBS check; SMS Environmental will cover the cost of this if you do not already hold a valid DBS certificate.
