Job description

Looking for an exciting new opportunity? We've got you covered! Due to business growth, we need an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake site risk assessment and risk assessment review surveys of water services in accordance with the latest version of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition) and its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274 and the British standard code of practice for Risk assessing, BS8580-1 2019. Also, the Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare Premises as necessary.
  • Completion of schematic drawings in accordance with guidance requirements.
  • Produce timely and accurate reports detailing remedial actions and maintenance regime for clients.
  • Provide technical support where required.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare Premises (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of cooling towers, process systems and other systems (desirable but not essential)
  • Able to prioritise multiple and varied challenging situations.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent organisation and time keeping skills working to deadlines.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, using own initiative, desire to learn and achieve.
  • You may be required to travel around your region with the need for an occasional overnight stay.
