Job summary

Franks Portlock Consulting Limited is seeking a Legionella Risk Assessor to perform risk assessments on hot and cold water systems, focusing on L8, HSG 274, and related standards. You will communicate with clients at all levels, travel nationwide, and contribute to reporting and data analysis.

The role requires strong IT skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with water regulations. CAD drawing ability is advantageous, and fieldwork may involve heavy lifting and confined spaces.

Location: East Midlands – within 1 hour drive of our Burton office.

National travel will be required.

Salary: Starting from £30,000 depending on experience.

The Role

The role will be undertaking

• Legionella Risk Assessments of hot and cold water services , mainly dealing with the requirements within the ACoP L8, HSG 274, BS 8580-1:2019and HTM 04-01
• You must be able to communicate at all levels as you will be customer facing for the majority of your time.
• The area covered is nationwide so must be willing to travel and stay away from home as and when required.

As a Legionella Risk Assessor you will

• Have strong IT skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate
• Reporting skills.
• This role is physically demanding, access can be restricted and heavy lifting involved, confined space training will be given.

Essential Experience

• Legionella Risk Assessing hot and cold water systems.
• Understand the requirements of Health Care properties.
• Be able to produce CAD drawings using AutoCAD
• Understand Water Regulations
• Understand G3 Building regulations.

Experience Desired But Not Essential.

• Water Treatment plant and equipment
• Cooling Towers Close Systems.
