Job summary

Randstad CPE partners with a UK safety and compliance consultancy to recruit an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor for Yorkshire-based operations. You will conduct risk assessments across commercial, healthcare, education, and public estates in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274, and produce accurate reports using handheld software.

You will liaise with client duty holders to explain findings and propose practical risk mitigation, with full UK driving license required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Legionella Risk Assessor in UK water hygiene or compliance consultancy.
• Solid knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274 Parts 1–3, and Water Regulations 1999.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Legionella risk assessments across various client estates.
• Produce accurate technical risk reports, schematics, and asset registers using handheld software.
• Perform water sampling and related monitoring and servicing tasks.
• Liaise with client duty holders to explain findings and recommend mitigations.

Their Water Hygiene division is scaling at pace, backed by an elite technical leadership team-including former compliance leads for major national institutions-giving you direct daily access to decades of industry-leading technical knowledge and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Legionella risk assessments across commercial, healthcare, educational, and public sector client estates in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274.
• Produce accurate technical risk reports, schematics, and asset registers using handheld electronic software.
• Perform water sampling (Legionella, TVCs, E. coli), system temperature monitoring, TMV servicing, and cold water storage tank clean/disinfections.
• Liaise directly with client duty holders to explain findings and recommend practical risk mitigation schemes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor within a UK water hygiene or compliance consultancy.
• Solid working knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274 (Parts 1, 2 & 3), and Water Regulations 1999.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
