Job summary

JB Leitch Ltd is undergoing a significant technology transformation and seeks an experienced Legal Technology Developer to design, build and support solutions across Actionstep and Toca.io. You will integrate internal and third-party systems, automate workflows and work with stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' hands-on software development experience.
• Proven experience developing solutions within Actionstep.
• Experience building applications, workflows, integrations and automations in Toca.io.
• Experience developing and supporting production business applications.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills, including schema design, data migration and query optimisation.
• Experience integrating systems using REST APIs, webhooks and other integration technologies.
• Experience working with legal practice management systems or comparable line-of-business platforms.
• Understanding of matter management, client onboarding, document management, diary management, billing and workflow automation.
• Experience using modern development practices including version control, testing, code reviews and CI/CD.
• Ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support solutions within Actionstep and Toca.io.
• Build and maintain integrations with internal and third-party systems using APIs and webhooks.
• Develop custom workflows, business logic and automation solutions.
• Support data migration, system configuration and platform enhancements.
• Design and maintain database structures, queries and reporting solutions.
• Work with legal and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Create technical documentation and support testing and deployment activities.
• Ensure solutions meet security, confidentiality, audit and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to development standards, code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
