Legal Technologist (Speculative Application)

IDS Legal Technology Services is a leading consultancy at the intersection of law and technology. Our team works with tools like Clio, iManage, SmartSearch, Odoo, and Microsoft’s Power Platform to deliver meaningful digital transformation.

Role Overview

As a Legal Technologist at IDS, you’ll bridge the gap between legal practice and technology implementation. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to design, deploy, and support solutions that streamline legal workflows, enhance compliance, and reduce operational overhead.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse legal and compliance processes (e.g. client intake, AML, document assembly, billing) and translate them into automated workflows.
• Configure, customise, and integrate legal technology platforms such as Clio, SharePoint, SmartSearch, and Odoo.
• Support data migrations, API‑led integrations, and document template automation.
• Work with developers to define requirements and test technical implementations.
• Assist in training delivery and producing user‑facing documentation.
• Stay current with trends in legal operations, regtech, and practice management systems.

Skills & Experience

• Background in legal operations, legal tech consulting, or law firm IT.
• Experience with one or more legal platforms (e.g. Clio, iManage, NetDocuments, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with tools such as Power Automate, Zapier, or low‑code/no‑code platforms.
• Strong problem‑solving and client communication skills.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks such as AML, GDPR, and KYC is a plus.
