Job description

Kennedys is looking for a Legal Support Assistant to join our busy LSA Team. The role includes transcribing dictations, copy typing, formatting large documents, and a wide range of administrative tasks. The LSA will need to identify key dates and deadlines, liaising with the team to ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner. This is a remote-based role, working hours from 2pm to 10pm, with flexibility around these hours.

Team

The Kennedys LSA team plays a key role in contributing to the effectiveness of the firm by providing comprehensive administrative support across all teams – UK and increasingly global.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work methodically within Service Desk and BigHand, prioritizing work efficiently to ensure important and urgent tasks are completed promptly.
  • Develop strong relationships within the LSA team, Team Leaders, the wider Secretarial team, and the firm.
  • Follow correct procedures, instructions, and protocols, which may differ for each team.
  • Produce high-quality work, including various documents from handwritten or typed drafts, formatting documents into house style, transcribing digital dictation from BigHand, and handling administrative tasks as required.
Required Experience
  • Previous secretarial or document production experience.
  • Knowledge of legal practice.
  • Proficiency in word processing and office software.
