Service Care Solutions is working alongside a reputable local authority, based in Staffordshire, which is seeking an experienced Legal Services Manager to join their team and lead the legal department. If you have a passion for guiding legal teams, then this is the role for you.

Role: Legal Services Manager

Location: Staffordshire – hybrid

Rate: £65-£70ph (Umbrella)

PAYE inc. Holiday Rate: £57.11 - £61.45

Contract Length: 3 months ongoing

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Services Manager role:

• Report directly to the Head of Legal and Regulatory Services (Monitoring Officer) and play a key role in shaping the direction of the legal function.
• Plan, manage, and oversee a wide range of legal work including policy development, compliance, and risk management.
• Provide strategic guidance to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality legal services.

Key Requirements:

• Strong legal knowledge and expertise with a proven track record of managing complex legal projects within a local government setting.
• Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
• A qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
