Legal Services Assistant

We are seeking a highly organised individual to join our Legal Services team. In this vital role, you will support the Legal Services Director in ensuring compliance with legislation and court deadlines, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.

Main duties of the job

You will report to the Paralegal, and your responsibilities will include:

• Provide independent administrative support to the Legal Services Director
• Minute meetings, manage diaries, and handle incoming/outgoing correspondence
• Liaise with external bodies including NHS Resolution, Coroners, Local Authorities, and barristers\' chambers
• Facilitate and process disclosure requests for civil and criminal matters, ensuring accurate logging and tracking
• Review and redact documentation for disclosure in line with legal and confidentiality requirements
• Prepare and check legal documents with precision and attention to detail

• A level standard of education
• Computer systems training, including Microsoft Office, email and database systems, or equivalent skills gained through experience

• PA/Secretarial experience or experience of working in an administrative function
