The Role
  • Supporting a busy Private Client team covering wills, probate, trusts and tax.
  • Preparing correspondence and documents through audio typing.
  • Producing and formatting documents using the firm’s case management system.
  • Meeting and speaking with clients, providing helpful and professional support.
  • Handling incoming calls and dealing with general queries.
  • Setting up and maintaining probate case management modules.
  • Recording attendance notes accurately and promptly.
  • Taking messages clearly and passing them on without delay.
  • Undertaking photocopying, scanning and general administrative work.
  • Providing support to other secretaries where needed.
  • Managing diaries, scheduling appointments and arranging meetings for fee earners.
  • Participating in training and supporting your own professional development.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of client and firm information at all times.
  • Following internal procedures and completing reasonable requests made by senior staff.
You
  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within private client work.
  • Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office and case management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • A polite, professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with strong organisational skills.
