Brook Street is supporting a legal firm in the Southampton area in their search for a Legal Secretary / Paralegal within Conveyancing. The firm has been trading for over 60 years and offers high standards of legal service to clients throughout Hampshire.

The successful candidate does not need conveyancing experience but should have legal practice experience as a trainee, paralegal, or legal secretary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting and managing a busy caseload within residential conveyancing as part of a team
  • Opening new client files, sending out care letters, filing, photocopying, and managing own diary
  • Communicating with clients, agents, third parties, and brokers
  • Supporting fee earners from start to exchange, then completion and archive
  • Submitting searches, offers, and title documents
  • Handling ongoing enquiries, providing responses, or escalating as needed
