A boutique property law firm in the UK is seeking a full-time Property Legal Secretary or Legal Executive. This role involves supporting a small team with property law tasks, including conveyancing and client liaison. Ideal candidates should have a solid property law background and a collaborative mindset. Enjoy working in a respectful, ego-free environment with a stable workflow. This opportunity encourages long-term commitment without the pressure of fee targets.
Property Legal Secretary or Legal Executive (Support Role)
Join a boutique property law firm with a great culture, based on the fringe of the Christchurch CBD.
I'm working with a small, tight-knit property law firm that's really well-regarded in their space - boutique in size, but well-established and known for doing excellent work across residential, commercial, and development matters. This team is practical, grounded, and genuinely cares about each other and their clients. They're now on the lookout for a full-time Property Legal Secretary, or potentially a Legal Executive who's keen to step into a strong support role (and away from the fee targets!).
About the firm
This firm is located just outside the city centre-an easy-to-access spot without the hassle of CBD parking. The culture is genuinely down-to-earth, with no hierarchy or ego. Everyone contributes, and support staff are respected and appreciated.
It's a place where people tend to stay long term, and where collaboration is key. The environment is busy yet calm, and you'll be trusted to get on with the job without being micro-managed.
About the role
You'll be supporting a team of three-four authors across a range of property law work - everything from conveyancing and settlements to opening files, prepping documents, and liaising with clients, banks, and other professionals.
This role suits someone who loves being the go-to person in the background keeping things running smoothly - whether you're a career legal secretary or a qualified LE who wants to stay close to the work without being responsible for billing. There's still plenty of variety and complexity in the work, but you're not left holding the file - your job is to support, not to lead.
What they're looking for:
A solid background in property law (as a secretary or Legal Executive)
Someone confident with the end-to-end conveyancing process
Experience using Landonline and legal practice software (e.g. Infinity is a bonus)
Great attention to detail, initiative, and a collaborative mindset
A warm, down-to-earth communicator who enjoys being part of a team
