Job Description:

NEW Legal Secretary Vacancy - Dorset

We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join the growing Litigation team at an established, traditional firm in Poole. This role offers a supportive environment where you will be valued and part of a welcoming team.

The firm prioritizes work-life balance, offering full flexi-time, generous holiday entitlement—including your birthday off and extra time at Christmas—and encourages proper breaks. Benefits include free access to BUPA healthcare and a 24/7 online and telephone GP service for employees and their families. The management fosters a flexible, appreciative workplace.

This is a full-time, permanent position (9:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday) with a one-hour lunch break, totaling a 35-hour workweek. Salary is competitive and based on experience and qualifications.

Your responsibilities will include supporting a busy Litigation department across various cases such as employment law, landlord and tenant matters, personal injury, commercial property, boundary disputes, and debt collection. A high standard of client care and professionalism are essential.

Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, strong IT skills, and excellent attention to detail. Experience with Office 365, case management systems, and hosted telephony is advantageous but full training will be provided. The ability to manage workloads efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy is crucial. A compliance-driven mindset is also important, with ongoing support and training available.
