Job Description:

Hybrid, full-time permanent role based in Birmingham, offering up to £28,000 per annum depending on experience. A fantastic opportunity to work for a national law firm as a legal secretary within either Personal Injury or Corporate and Governance has just become available! Based in Birmingham City Centre, the successful applicant will work alongside other members of the team, providing outstanding secretarial support. Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  1. Managing the team’s inbox in an efficient and proactive manner
  2. Coordinating meetings, both internal and external, booking rooms and facilities, and liaising with attendees to ensure all relevant equipment is in place
  3. National and international travel management including arranging hotels, flights, and transfers
  4. Overseeing document drafting, production, and management
  5. Organising fee-earner meetings, including preparing agendas and collating papers
  6. File management; archiving, opening and closing files, and ensuring all documents are electronically filed and in line with file management best practice
  7. Overseeing the end-to-end billing process, including creating standard bills and disbursements, raising credit notes, and amending narratives
  8. Providing general administrative support to the fee earners, and supporting projects on an ad-hoc basis when required, for example managing bundles and assisting during team events

Prospective applicants must have excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, an adaptable and flexible approach, and excel working as part of a team. They must also have previous experience working in a similar role within a professional services environment, and have a high competency for Microsoft Office.
