An ever-growing prestigious legal firm is looking to add an experienced Legal Secretary / Assistant to their team on a temporary, full-time basis. Working in fantastic offices based in Bangor on the banks of the Menai Straits, close to amenities, this is an excellent opportunity to join an organization that puts its employees first.

As an experienced Legal Secretary / Assistant, you will have strong knowledge of the role and an efficient skill set that will help you settle quickly into your new position. Reporting to the Solicitors, you will provide high-level administrative support to clients and colleagues while effectively managing your workload.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Supporting a busy department with correspondence and document preparation.
  2. Using self-management and initiative to ensure departmental efficiency.
  3. Liaising with clients via telephone and other communication methods.
  4. Providing secretarial support to solicitors and team members.
  5. Managing diaries and arranging appointments for clients to see solicitors.
  6. Assisting the Practice Manager with monthly file reviews.
  7. Working as part of a team to maintain effective secretarial cover.
  8. Typing letters, attendance notes, and bills from digital dictation, and monitoring and replying to emails.
Essential skills and abilities:
  1. Strong time management and organizational skills.
  2. Audio-typing with accurate and speedy keyboard skills.
  3. Computer literacy.
  4. Knowledge of using a Case Management System.
  5. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  6. Friendly and professional telephone manner.
  7. Effective workload management and prioritization skills.

This is a full-time position offered on a temporary ongoing basis, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. The starting salary is £22,500, dependent on skills and experience, plus accrued holiday pay during the assignment.
