As a Legal PA, you will provide high-quality, proactive support to partners and fee earners, making a tangible impact on the team's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Work together with finance teams to enhance fee earners' financial performance, driving client billing, reporting, matter balances, and working capital management.
- Partner with the Business Development team to coordinate exciting events and conferences, manage CRM administration, and craft and update compelling CVs for fee earners.
- If your allocated fee earner is a Client Relationship Partner for a Client Universe Client, play a pivotal role in organising and attending key meetings, planning impactful events, and compiling insightful client reports.
- Take charge of matter management processes, ensuring the correct application of rates at the outset, timely preparation of engagement letters, and seamless liaison with the Business Acceptance Unit.
- Conduct thorough conflict checks and Client Due Diligence processes, ensuring meticulous completion of the Client Matter Inception process per best practice protocols.
- Oversee comprehensive file management processes, including identifying matters for closure, ensuring timely bill payments, managing work in progress, and archiving completed files efficiently.
- Provide comprehensive diary management, including planning, travel arrangements, identifying meeting conflicts and resolving them independently to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and recommend innovative, cost-effective options for complex travel arrangements, ensuring a seamless experience for fee earners.
- Ensure all meeting requirements are identified and actioned, including proactive preparation of meeting packs, itineraries, and hospitality resources.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills to support fee earners effectively, proactively identifying and addressing knowledge gaps.
- Uphold risk and compliance policies and procedures, promptly raising any queries with the relevant Partner or Risk and Compliance team.
The Candidate
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for grammar and punctuation.
- A minimum of three years’ experience (or equivalent) in a comparable environment at an appropriate level.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- A track record of delivering outstanding client service.
- Detail-oriented mindset with experience in a fast-paced office environment.
- Strong ability to collaborate as part of a team while also thriving independently.
