The Role

The legal services market is experiencing a period of significant change, driven by growing expectations, new technology and an evolving competitor market place. Our clients are increasingly looking for new approaches to satisfy the needs of their legal challenges.


We are looking for a Legal Operations Consultant in our growing Dentons Helix team who will work closely with the wider Helix Team, Clients, Partners and Associates across the firm as we look to uphold and expand our premium managed service offering. Our goal is to focus on all aspects of delivery, process improvement and innovation, providing clients with an exceptional level of service throughout the client lifecycle


Responsibilities

  • Act as a key contact for clients, facilitating day-to-day operational processes, and governance forums.
  • Analyse current legal processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise legal service delivery and reduce costs.
  • Manage legal technology solutions, including selection, implementation and training.
  • Create and maintain reports, metrics and KPIs to measure performance.
  • Oversee vendor management and outside counsel relationships.
  • Develop and implement knowledge management systems and processes.
  • Supervise billing and invoicing processes.
  • Lead change management initiatives for both Client teams and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align legal operations with broader business objectives.
  • Design and deliver training programmes for client and internal teams on new processes and technologies.

Skills & Experience

  • A strong academic record is essential.
  • At least 2 years of similar experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Direct experience in a client facing role.
  • Proactive, flexible and collaborative approach, a can do attitude, and ability to function effectively and efficiently in a fast moving environment.
  • Ability to analyse data and present clear messages from it.
  • Ability to think logically and pragmatically whilst being willing to challenge and question assumptions and propose alternative solutions to problems.
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work positively and sensitively with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and running projects.
  • Confidence with technology, with strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Innovation mindset – able to think outside the box and solve problems with creativity.
