Job Description

An opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to join a non-departmental public body (NDPB) which funds projects and activities that transform communities. This is a 12-month fixed term maternity cover contract, for the role of Legal Manager (Head of Agreements, Information and Disputes).

As Head of Agreements, Information and Disputes, you’ll report to the Head of Legal Services and oversee a team of 5 individuals. Your day to day will involve overseeing compliance processes, legal policies, legal projects, procurement, and risk strategies. You will focus on legal projects with higher value, risk and complexity as well as building relationships with leaders across the organisation and external stakeholders including Government and other NDPBs.

To be considered, you will be a UK qualified solicitor, barrister or equivalent with at least seven years’ relevant experience. You should have experience of managing change in a dynamic environment and excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Experience of working for a similar public body and/or experience within the public sector is highly desirable.

Successful candidates will receive a competitive salary, generous holiday allowance and a civil service pension scheme. They operate a hybrid working policy but staff can be based out of any of the following office locations: Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle and Newtown. Salaries: - £48,246 - £60,308, London, £53,255 - £66,569 (dependent on experience).
