Legal Manager

CK Group is recruiting for a Legal Manager to join our client's expanding team. This person will work closely with the business development team and the company's clients to draft and finalize contracts, as well as participate in negotiations.

Location:

Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities:

1. Negotiate, draft, and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company's full legal rights.
2. Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
3. Oversee the legal aspects of business operations and transactions.
4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal compliance in business activities.
5. Provide accurate and timely counsel to executives on legal topics such as labor law, partnerships, and corporate finance.
6. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations.

Required Experience:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
2. Over two years of experience as an attorney in corporate law.
3. Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical companies, especially in drug discovery, solid-state chemistry, or automated synthesis systems, is a plus.
4. In-house legal experience in a technology or R&D-driven organization is highly desirable.
5. Familiarity with international legal matters and cross-border transactions.
6. Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills.
7. Detail-oriented, well-organized, with excellent time management skills.
8. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
9. Problem-solving mindset and critical thinking abilities.
