A non-departmental public body seeks an experienced Legal Manager for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. An opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to join a non-departmental public body (NDPB) which funds projects and activities that transform communities. This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract for the role of Legal Manager.
As the Legal Manager, you will report to the Head of Legal Services and manage a team of 5 individuals. Your responsibilities include overseeing compliance processes, legal policies, legal projects, procurement, and risk strategies. You will focus on legal projects with higher value, risk, and complexity, while building relationships with organizational leaders and external stakeholders, including government entities and other NDPBs.
Requirements include being a UK qualified solicitor, barrister, or equivalent with at least seven years of relevant experience. Previous experience managing a team, along with excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills, is essential. Experience working for a similar public body or within the public sector is highly desirable.
