About The Team:

The Forms and Precedents Operations team sits within Global Forms and Precedents, reporting to the Global Head of Forms and Precedents Editorial Operations, supporting the creation, updating, technical implementation and production/publishing of key documents utilised by lawyers on a day-to-day basis. Whether it be a fillable official form, an agreement for sale, or automated will, the team is responsible for over 35,000 individual content items, as well as supporting commentary and other content – published across individual products online through dedicated portals, via Lexis+ and other Lexis platforms, or in print.


About The Role:

As a Legal Knowledge Engineer, you will review and maintain templates for our automated documents, conduct technical quality assurance, and collaborate with an international team. You will assist in delivering existing Lexis Smart products and developing new automations.


Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and deliver high-use, complex automations.
  • Collaborate with the global team to develop new automated content for LexisSmart customers.
  • Review automated templates to ensure they meet our House Style/Standardisation Guidelines.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on updated/new automated templates.
  • Document existing and reviewed work.
  • Report progress, updates, and blockers to your line manager and senior stakeholders.
  • Improve existing processes to make them more efficient.

Requirements:
  • Legal qualification or relevant experience.
  • Experience with legal technology, such as document automation tools.
  • Attention to technical detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and willingness to learn new software and tools.
  • Proactive in identifying potential problems.
  • Process-focused with the ability to suggest and implement improvements.
  • Collaborative and flexible, with a problem-solving mindset.
