We also provide technical accountancy and forensic services to HMRC, and handle Ministerial Correspondence and Freedom of Information requests. The Legal Group support team provides a full range of administrative support for internal technical caseworkers, lawyers, accountants, review officers, and senior managers. There is a strong team ethos and a variety of interesting and challenging work.
We are recruiting for 8 x Administrative Officer (AO) vacancies across the Business Support Team and the Enforcement and Insolvency team within the NICERS business. The two teams are similar but have some differences in daily duties. Two vacancies are in the Business Support Team; six vacancies are in the Insolvency and Enforcement team. More details on the teams are explained below.

Salary and pension: Salary £28,016 plus £8,116 employer contribution to Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. HMRC offers flexible and hybrid working policies; generous leave (25 days rising to 30).
This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker sponsorship. Applicants will be subject to standard Civil Service recruitment processes, including pre-employment screening and DBS considerations. A merit list will be used to appoint in merit order. An initial sift may be performed on the Essential Criteria. Interviews will assess behaviour and strengths-based responses.
