Position Overview
The Legal Education and Development Coordinator will handle legal training and development matters as part of the Legal Recruiting and Development team, ensuring effective support for the Firm.
Job Responsibilities
- Support attorney engagement by liaising with firmwide and local teams on spend requests and approvals.
- Coordinate and track firmwide training programs and local attendance with London Knowledge Partners.
- Monitor attorney bar certificate expirations across London, Paris, and Brussels; communicate with attorneys for renewals and update records.
- Track visa expiration dates, manage verifications, and liaise with attorneys on renewals.
- Assist with budget tracking and collaborate with the US team on reclassifications for London, Paris, and Brussels offices.
- Manage onboarding and leaver checklists for attorneys, track completion, and support queries.
- Coordinate with US colleagues on LMS training programs.
- Support regulatory processes for England & Wales licenses, including bulk renewals and applications.
- Arrange Practice Group trainings, including booking rooms, issuing invitations, and updating reports.
- Issue compliance courses to new attorneys and monitor completion.
- Support the European associate review process administratively.
- Provide training compliance reports to London attorneys across various jurisdictions.
- Review weekly and monthly training reports, adjust tracking as needed.
- Administer LMS by creating events, lessons, learning paths, and applying credits.
- Book external courses, obtain approvals, and maintain budget records.
- Assist with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives and events.
- Support Colleagues for Life initiatives, liaising with ambassadors and US colleagues.
- Process invoices and expenses for the department.
- Assist with mentoring scheme administration.
- Undertake other relevant tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Degree-level education.
- Experience in professional services, ideally in law firm training and development; knowledge of legal compliance is a plus.
- Excellent customer service, communication skills, and ability to work with attorneys and staff at all levels.
- Critical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests under tight deadlines.
