Sinclair is seeking a Regional Legal Director to provide global legal support. In this role, you will act as the primary legal advisor, offering strategic counsel to senior stakeholders in your designated region. You will manage all legal matters within your region while working closely with other Regional Legal Directors who handle legal issues in their respective areas. Working alongside the Compliance teams, you will address global initiatives or complex issues requiring specialised expertise. Your role will involve delivering practical, business-focused legal guidance that supports Sinclair's growth and objectives in the market. Additionally, you may lead and mentor a team of lawyers and/or Legal Assistants, driving both regional and global legal strategies.

Location: Based in the UK, with options for either the London or Chester office.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Legal Strategy & Advisory: Offer strategic legal counsel on business operations, product development, and compliance with regional laws.
  2. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, medical device laws, and regional/international standards.
  3. Contract Management: Lead negotiations and manage key business agreements, including supplier, vendor, and distribution contracts.
  4. Litigation & Risk Management: Manage legal disputes and risks, providing strategic advice to minimize exposure and protect Sinclair's interests.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other functions to provide pragmatic legal guidance and support business objectives.
  6. Training & Education: Identify opportunities to train employees on legal requirements, compliance policies, and ethical standards.

Experience & Qualifications:

  1. Law Degree with LPC (or equivalent).
  2. At least 6 years PQE (or equivalent) with experience in a top-tier international law firm.
  3. Strong knowledge of contract and competition law, with multi-jurisdictional experience.
  4. Previous in-house experience, preferably within the medical aesthetics, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Fluent in English and experience working within a global business environment.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.
