We seek a high-caliber, motivated legal professional to join our London team. You will collaborate with our legal department and broader company to support growth targets and assist our US, UK, and EU businesses, with a primary focus on the US market.

If you are a US-qualified attorney with over 5 years of PQE, experience in corporate, M&A, financing, fintech, or capital markets at a top US law firm in London or the EU, this role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in an in-house environment while expanding your practice scope.

Responsibilities
  • Negotiate major partnerships and draft bespoke partnership agreements with clients like Amazon, eBay, Stripe, and Shopify.
  • Provide pragmatic legal advice across various business functions including commercial, product, and tech teams.
  • Structure and update product offerings and partnership models in compliance with US fintech regulations.
  • Review and update merchant financing agreements considering market and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate on complex capital market transactions such as credit facilities, financings, and securitizations.
  • Innovate and develop new financing products for SMEs.
  • Support product development teams with legal input on existing and new products.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
Candidate Profile
  • US qualification (preferably New York or California) with 5+ years of transactional experience at a top US law firm.
  • Interest in fintech and SME financing.
  • Ability to work across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK and EU.
  • Knowledge of financing, corporate law, and commercial transactions.
  • Experience with a broad range of legal issues and contracts.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Skills
  • In-house or fintech experience.
  • Experience with cross-border transactions and multicultural teams.
  • Familiarity with UK and EU legal frameworks.
