A fast-growing fintech company in London is seeking a regulatory lawyer with over 2 years of experience in financial regulation, especially consumer credit. You will work closely with the General Counsel and support the business on regulatory matters and new product development. Qualifications

  • Qualified lawyer with 2+ years' PQE in a leading firm or in-house legal team.
  • Strong experience in financial regulation, particularly advising on consumer credit regulations.
  • Familiarity with the FCA Handbook.

Responsibilities

  • Advise the business on consumer credit regulatory matters.
  • Support commercial contracts and new product development.
  • Work closely with the General Counsel and the business.

Our client, a fast-growing fintech, is looking to hire a regulatory lawyer with strong consumer credit experience to join their highly regarded, dynamic legal team.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the General Counsel in a highly impactful role. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the business on a wide range of matters including advising the business on consumer credit regulatory matters, commercial contracts, and new product development.

This is an ideal role for a lawyer looking to transition to an in-house position with exposure to a broad variety of work, supporting product, commercial and regulatory matters whilst working closely with the business at an exciting stage of growth.

Skills required

  • Qualified lawyer with 2+ years' PQE gained in a leading firm or in-house legal team.
  • Strong experience in financial regulation, particularly with experience advising on consumer credit regulatory matters.
  • Familiarity with the FCA Handbook
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
