The Legal Counsel Role

You will work within a collaborative legal team of three, focusing on Investment and Development work in operational real estate. Reporting to the Legal Director, you will liaise with various teams on contracts, transactions, property, construction, and litigation matters, adding value to this high-performing team.

Your responsibilities include managing the full lifecycle of real estate projects—from pre-design to acquisition, design, funding, tax, construction, property management, and disposals. You will support transactions such as corporate real estate acquisitions/disposals, asset-led acquisitions, senior debt facilities, forward funding, and occupational agreements like leases.

You will also assist in asset appraisal, supporting the acquisitions team with legal cost underwriting and due diligence before instructing external counsel.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with 5+ PQE, experienced in commercial property, real estate finance, investment, development, or projects/construction.
  • In-House experience and exposure to multiple real estate asset classes are preferred.
  • A positive attitude and outlook are essential.
  • Salary negotiable based on experience.
