Our client is an award-winning independent studio creating film, series, advertising, interactive entertainment, and attractions. They also distribute and license their own brands. The business is innovative, dynamic, and busy.

We are seeking a qualified media lawyer with production experience to join the Business Affairs team on a 10-12 month fixed-term maternity cover contract. The role reports to the Head of Business Affairs.

The Business Affairs team provides legal and commercial advice across departments including production, co-production, feature films, marketing, licensing, merchandising, commercials, and live events. They also handle intellectual property and brand protection.

The ideal candidate will have experience in TV and/or film production, with additional knowledge of rights, licensing/distribution, and media law. Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting talent and crew agreements, liaising with agents, managing production development agreements, music licensing, and post-production delivery. You should be capable of leading legal support throughout production, drafting supplementary agreements, and providing day-to-day legal advice.
