10-12 MONTHS FTC – ASAP START
REMOTE OR FLEXIBLE WORKING

Our client is an independent, award-winning studio creating film, series, advertising, interactive entertainment, and attractions. They also distribute and license their brands. The business is fun, dynamic, creative, and busy.

We are looking for a qualified media lawyer with production experience to join the Business Affairs team on a 10-12 month fixed-term maternity cover contract. The role reports to the Head of Business Affairs.

The Business Affairs team provides commercial advice and legal services across departments, including production, co-production, feature films, marketing, licensing, merchandising, commercials, and live events. They also advise on intellectual property rights and brand protection.

The successful candidate must have experience in TV and/or film production, with broader experience in rights, licensing/distribution, and media law preferred.

Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting talent and crew agreements, liaising with agents, managing production development agreements, music licensing, and post-production delivery requirements. Ability to lead on productions and provide legal support throughout the production lifecycle is essential.

Ideal candidates will have proven drafting experience, adaptability to various agreement types, and excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
