Meet the team behind this journey

DeepL's Legal team seeking a Legal Counsel to join their Go-to-Market (GtM) Legal team within the growing Legal department. As a Legal Counsel at DeepL, you will work closely with our GtM Legal team, the wider GtM team and other legal professionals and stakeholders to provide critical support and assistance across a range of legal matters. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative company that is at the forefront of the language technology revolution.

Your Responsibilities

Review and negotiate a variety of complex commercial agreements, including SaaS, MSA, DPAs with B2B customers.
Provide the Go-to-Market (GtM) team with advice on a wide variety of commercial legal matters.
Support the improvement of internal processes within the GtM organisation.
Support the development of and maintain the templates of the GtM Legal team.
Draft and conduct training and self-help materials and guidelines for both the GtM and the GtM Legal team.
Provide administrative support for legal documentation.

Qualities we look for

Fully qualified lawyer or comparable with an above-average degree and at least two years of experience working in internal legal departments (preferably in a technology company).
Understanding of the challenges of a fast-growing company.
Experience in reviewing and negotiating B2B contracts (in English, preferably also in another language).
Experience with SaaS contracts.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with the GtM team.
Fluency in English, and additional language skills are an advantage.
Ability to think on your feet, adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
