Job Description:

Position Overview:

The legal team is seeking to hire a Legal Counsel specializing in Employment Law on a fixed-term contract, commencing in November/December 2025 and running through to September 2026.

  • Negotiating employment/engagement terms across multiple jurisdictions, including bespoke payout arrangements, profit sharing arrangements, and spinouts.
  • Drafting employment, confidentiality, secondment, termination, and settlement agreements.
  • Advising the business on contractual terms, restrictive covenants, and regulatory requirements in existing and new jurisdictions.
  • Advising on employee exits, disciplinary actions, and enforcement of post-termination obligations.
  • Managing employee-related litigation.
  • Drafting template documents and maintaining contract databases. Providing reporting to senior management and advising on new legislation/regulation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6-10 years PQE, trained with an established employment practice, with experience in financial services clients and some in-house experience.
  • This is a global role managing time-sensitive matters. Responsiveness is key; documents should be prepared promptly, even outside core hours.
  • Must be organized, quick to learn, confident, and able to work independently. Good judgment on escalation is essential.
  • Must be a strong communicator, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders and potential candidates.
  • Strong negotiating skills are essential.
