A respected financial services consultancy is recruiting a Legal Counsel to join its In-House Legal Team. This role offers the chance to work across a broad spectrum of matters in a dynamic, FCA-regulated environment. The position is based in Glasgow or Edinburgh, with flexible hybrid working and strong long-term development opportunities.
The ideal candidate will work with the Head of Dispute Resolution and wider legal team to support the business on a range of legal issues. This includes advising on client and third-party disputes, complaints, ombudsman matters, and internal investigations. You’ll also support with legal input on data breaches, insurance matters, governance reporting, and supplier issues. The role involves clear communication, problem solving, and helping teams across the business reach fair and practical outcomes – without the need for court work.
Applicants should be qualified in Scotland or England, with some experience in dispute resolution and/or pensions, ideally gained in-house or in a regulated environment. You’ll need to be commercially aware, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working with people at all levels. Experience with financial services, pensions law, ombudsman complaints, or FCA rules would be a plus.
This is a full-time position with hybrid working (minimum 40% office attendance) offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive range of benefits. Should this role be of interest, please do not hesitate to contact either Teddie or Cameron for an initial and confidential discussion. (Assignment 17404)
