Job Description:

We are proud to be partnering with a global media powerhouse in their search for a talented Legal Counsel to join their growing legal team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a 3–5 year PQE qualified solicitor with a strong corporate and commercial background, who is eager to work at the intersection of media, technology, and innovation—including the fast-evolving world of AI regulation.

About the Role:

Working closely with multiple stakeholders across a dynamic global business, the Legal Counsel will play a key role across three main legal pillars: Corporate, Commercial, and Artificial Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal support to the M&A team, advising on mergers, acquisitions, and strategic global investments.
  • Assist with corporate restructuring and other high-impact projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including IT, tech, and marketing contracts.
  • Offer legal and compliance advice on the company’s use and development of AI technologies.
  • Keep the business informed of relevant emerging legislation in the AI space.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • 3–5 years PQE, qualified in England & Wales.
  • Strong corporate training from a leading UK law firm.
  • In-house experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Solid experience in drafting and negotiating commercial and technology contracts.
  • A demonstrable interest in AI is essential; hands-on experience or legal knowledge in this area is a significant plus.
  • Experience working on cross-border matters is highly advantageous.
