Job summary

Arbuthnot Yon is seeking a private practice or in-house lawyer for a 12-month FTC in a forward-thinking UK energy business. The role focuses on construction, projects and commercial matters with a strategic, high-impact remit and a culture that invests in people.

The position offers hybrid working with 2 days in the office (West/East Midlands) and a salary up to £75k (DOE) plus bonus and benefits. Flexible full-time or part-time arrangements are considered.

This role would suit:

• A private practice lawyer with strong Construction & Projects or Commercial Contracts experience who is ready for a high-quality first move in-house, or
• An ambitious in-house lawyer looking to deepen their exposure to specialist construction/project work in a fast-paced, future-focused organisation.
• Package: Salary up to £75k (DOE) plus bonus and excellent benefits.
• Working pattern: Very flexible working — open to full-time or part-time.
• Location: Hybrid working with only 2 days per week in the office (West or East Midlands).
