A leading Manufacturing company in the UK is seeking a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 2 years' PQE to join on a 12-month remote contract. This role involves advising on procurement and commercial contracts, managing legal risks, and supporting stakeholders. Previous in-house experience is desirable, and the position offers a rate of £300–£340 per day, with occasional travel to the Midlands.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified lawyer (minimum 2 years PQE) to join a leading Manufacturing company on a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the business, providing high-quality, commercially focused legal advice.

Location: Remote working with occasional travel to the Midlands (1–2 days per month)
Rate: £300–£340 per day (PAYE rate)

The role:

  • Advise the business on procurement and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance and commercial best practice.
  • Analyse and manage legal risks affecting business operations and strategy.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements.
  • Support internal stakeholders with pragmatic, solution-focused legal guidance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with a current practising certificate.
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in procurement and commercial contracts.
  • Previous in-house experience in a manufacturing company is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and remotely.
