A leading Manufacturing company is looking for a qualified lawyer with over 2 years PQE to provide high-quality legal advice. The role, based in Derbyshire, requires experience in procurement and commercial contracts. Work will be hybrid, with one day a week onsite and the rest from home. This is a 12-month contract offering £300–£340 per day.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified lawyer (minimum 2 years PQE) to join a leading Manufacturing company on a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the business, providing high-quality, commercially focused legal advice.

Location: Derbyshire (one day a week in the office, four from home) Rate: £300–£340 per day (PAYE rate)

The role:

  • Advise the business on procurement and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance and commercial best practice.
  • Analyse and manage legal risks affecting business operations and strategy.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements.
  • Support internal stakeholders with pragmatic, solution-focused legal guidance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with a current practising certificate.
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in procurement and commercial contracts.
  • Previous in-house experience in a manufacturing company is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and remotely.
