Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Legal Counsel with a broad commercial & corporate background to provide strategic legal advice on a range of commercial and corporate matters in the Energy & Natural Resources industry

Client Details

Our client is a large organisation within the Energy & Natural Resources sector. Known for their commitment to sustainable practices and innovative solutions, they have a global footprint with operations in various regions.

Description

  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial contracts (including framework agreements, service level agreements, sub-contracts, EPC Agreements and Supply Agreements).
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial land related documents (including options, leases, underleases, licenses, deeds of variation and licenses for works).
  • Investigation of title and preparation of reports for internal stakeholders following review of title documents, pre-contract searches and replies to enquiries.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on the risks and potential legal implications of matters which arise as part of the day-to-day running of the business (ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company policies).
  • Support the development and maintenance of contract templates, guidelines, and best practices to streamline contract processes.
  • Work with external legal counsel to ensure matters are progressed efficiently and brought to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Assist the Company Secretary on Corporate Governance matters where required.
  • Draft, negotiate and review corporate acquisition or disposal documents

Profile

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

  • You will be a Solicitor qualified in the UK with a valid practising certificate.
  • 2 - 4 years PQE gained either in-house or within a reputable law firm.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear and practical legal advice to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively, delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to align legal strategies with business objectives.

Job Offer

  • A salary range of £70,000 - £75,000 DOE plus a 10% bonus.
