Job Description:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is at the forefront of the cloud computing industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and more. We are seeking a curious and capable Corporate Counsel to support the AWS sales and marketing teams across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and advising on strategic technology agreements with enterprise customers and partners through various agreement types. The role also involves providing ongoing legal counsel and regulatory interpretation and guidance for senior executives and other business and legal team members.

We are looking for candidates who are innovative, progressive, hands-on, and highly customer-obsessed. Developing innovative solutions to better serve our customers and clients is part of our daily business.

This role will be based in London, UK. Some travel may be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Exceptional academic qualifications.
  • Significant post-qualification legal experience (minimum 5+ years), ideally with at least 4 years in private practice at a leading international law firm.
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and telecommunications.
  • In-house experience at a technology or internet company.
  • Significant technology transactional and regulatory experience.
  • High degree of independence, initiative, decisiveness, and creative thinking, with a desire to be challenged.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
