Job description

An opportunity has arisen for an upcoming NQ lawyer with experience in commercial contracts and or corporate law to join a lovely in-house team in Manchester. You'll be working for an affiliate of a household name institution in a varied role reporting to the Head of Legal.

The role is offered on a 3-6 month fixed term contract basis initially but there is scope for a permanent role for the right person and in the meantime you can build your commercial and corporate skill set.

The Role:

- Assisting in the drafting, review and/or negotiation of legal terms in relation to; IP licences and evaluation agreements, spin-out documents including Shareholders' Agreements, Articles of Association, Subscription and Investment Agreements, other corporate documents in relation to changes and investment in spin-out companies, service contracts, heads of terms;
- Due diligence; and
- Manage relationships with external lawyers and internal stakeholders.

You:

- Newly or recently qualified lawyer with experience in a busy legal team providing a range of services, in particular working on commercial, corporate and IP law.
- Evidence of rigorous attention to detail
- Excellent negotiation skills with demonstrable experience in successfully negotiating commercial contracts.
