Job Opportunity: Legal Counsel

We are working with a highly regarded international manufacturing business that partners with some of the biggest brands in the world.

They are seeking a legal counsel to work alongside and assist more senior lawyers. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts with key customers and suppliers;
  2. Advising the business on bids and tenders;
  3. Assisting on various areas including GDPR, Corporate M&A, Employment, Litigation;
  4. Building relationships with key stakeholders within the business;
  5. Assisting with training, education, and implementation of legal operations, processes, and procedures.

You will most likely have between 1 and 4 years PQE, but candidates with higher seniority will also be considered.

Experience in commercial contracts is beneficial, but the business will also consider lawyers from disciplines such as corporate M&A, commercial litigation, employment, construction, regulatory, banking, and finance. The ideal candidate is adaptable, excited by challenges, and skilled at forging relationships within the business.

This role offers a fantastic first in-house opportunity for lawyers currently in private practice seeking to transition into an in-house role within a collegiate legal team and dynamic sector. Alternatively, if you're already in-house and seeking more exposure, impact, and responsibility, this position provides that opportunity.

The company operates a hybrid working policy with a requirement of 3 days per week in the East Midlands office.
