NFU Mutual is seeking two Legal Counsel to join our professional and knowledgeable in-house Legal team on a full time, permanent basis.
Our Legal team is a key strategic department that exists to protect NFU Mutual’s legal interests and minimise risk. This includes applying a pragmatic, commercial lens to contractual drafting and negotiation, while ensuring that the company’s legal and regulatory obligations are met. They also support by providing legal advice to internal stakeholders and offer training and development to build awareness of legal issues.
As a Legal Counsel, you’ll play a vital role in advising our business stakeholders on a wide variety of commercial matters. From reviewing and negotiating contracts to providing clear, pragmatic legal advice, you’ll help protect our business interests and manage risk effectively.
We’re looking for a qualified Solicitor (England and Wales) – newly qualified welcome! – who’s ready to put their skills into action. You’ll bring sharp analytical thinking to tackle complex issues, use effective communication to translate legal detail into plain English, and draw on your negotiation skills to get the best outcomes for the business. With your problem-solving mindset, you won’t just spot risks – you’ll find practical solutions. And with strong time management, you’ll juggle priorities with ease while keeping everything on track.
