Job summary

A leading company is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to manage commercial, M&A, and corporate legal matters across the UK and other regions. This position requires a qualified lawyer with a strong background in international business environments, especially in the BPO, tech, or AI sectors. You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts, providing legal advice, and ensuring compliance with data protection laws. Ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of experience and be comfortable in a dynamic global setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in BPO, AI, or tech sectors is preferred.

Our client is looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to support commercial, M&A, and corporate legal matters across the UK, USA, Europe and South Africa. This role is ideal for someone with legal expertise in international business environments, particularly within the BPO, tech, or AI sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Provide legal advice on contract terms, obligations, and risk management.
  • Support M&A transactions, including due diligence, deal structuring, and integration.
  • Advise on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and internal policies.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), including data processing and transfer agreements.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel on complex legal matters.

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with a degree from a recognised institution (UK, US, or equivalent).
  • 10 years’ experience in commercial law, M&A, and corporate governance.
  • Familiarity with legal issues in BPO, AI, or tech industries.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment.
