Sacco Mann is supporting a pioneering renewable energy group in its UK legal recruitment. You will report to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, advising on development, construction, operation, management and disposal of solar, wind and storage projects.
The role is hybrid, with three days per week in the County Durham office and two days working from home, offering a high-calibre, commercially focused legal practice in a fast‑growing sector.
Sacco Mann is proud to be working once again with a pioneering and fast-growing renewable energy company specialising in the development, construction and operation of clean energy projects, including onshore wind, solar and energy storage solutions.
Following significant investment and a major transformation over the past 2–3 years, the business has ambitious plans for continued growth and development. Its legal function is integral to achieving these ambitions, playing a central role in supporting the business as it continues to expand its portfolio and deliver on its strategic objectives.
Reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, you’ll work alongside an established legal team, playing a key role in supporting the business across a broad range of legal matters relating to the development, construction, operation, management, acquisition and disposal of renewable energy projects.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders, managing legal risk, supporting strategic business initiatives and helping facilitate the successful delivery of renewable energy projects throughout their lifecycle.
This is an opportunity to work on a high-quality and varied caseload, tackling interesting and complex legal issues in a sector that is at the forefront of the political agenda and growing environmental focus. It’s a chance to play a meaningful role in an evolving industry, contributing to projects that will help shape the UK's energy future.
You’ll be a qualified solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE, ideally with some previous in-house experience, although this isn’t essential. You’re likely to have a background in commercial, contracts or construction law, coupled with a genuine interest in sustainability and the renewable energy sector.
Just as importantly, you’ll bring a positive, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to legal matters, excellent communication skills and a strong appreciation of the commercial realities of working in‑house. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business, providing advice that enables progress while effectively managing legal risk.
In return, you’ll have the opportunity to work on high-calibre projects within a progressive and ambitious business, supported by a collaborative legal team and a positive working environment.
The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with three days per week in the County Durham office and two days working from home.
