What you’ll do
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, and provide legal support for bids/tenders for Vodafone UK's Business Unit:
- Handle contracts/bids/tenders in the public and private sectors, working with Vodafone terms, customer-proposed terms, and under public sector frameworks;
- Support a varied customer portfolio including defence & security, critical national infrastructure, government, major corporates, multinational/international entities, regional and SME accounts, as well as indirect partners, partnerships, and alliances;
- Cover Vodafone’s extensive product portfolio of mobile, fixed, UC, IoT, and cloud & hosting solutions;
- Provide legal advice, assistance, and support proactively and reactively to relevant business areas and key stakeholders through writing, oral communication, presentations, and meetings;
- Collaborate with other members of the UK legal team and the Legal, Security, and Compliance team on relevant legal issues and cross-collaboration initiatives;
- Act as the first point of contact for customer disputes related to business contracts, working closely with the dispute resolution team to determine positions and strategies, advise internal customers, and achieve resolutions;
- Serve as a point of contact for escalations and issues within a business area, understanding key business priorities and assisting with training needs;
- Review sources for new legal developments impacting responsibilities, raising issues with the UK legal team and business, and providing advice and comments through writing or workshops;
- Maintain and update contract templates and internal briefing notes, and provide ongoing training to ensure efficient and risk-managed operations;
- Contribute to and drive legal team transformation initiatives, seeking opportunities for improvement within the team.
