As Legal Counsel, you will provide legal, regulatory, and data protection advice to Mobilize Financial Services (MFS) and relevant entities. You will advise and support business projects and other stakeholders. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive Legal Department, which also includes the Company Secretary and Corporate Governance function and forms part of the broader Risk Department. Reporting to the General Counsel, your responsibilities will include general legal advice, contract drafting, reviews and negotiations, project support, data protection advice, horizon scanning for legal developments and general legal risk management. You will also provide corporate governance and secretariat services to the Board of Directors of MFS and its related entities.
Your role will focus on supporting stakeholders including commercial departments and taking ownership of drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, managing stakeholder relationships, and representing the legal function as a valued and respected business partner. You should be proactive, solutions-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Acting as the legal point of contact for colleagues, it is essential to maintain professionalism and confidence.
